Make yourself at home.
You’re staying on 110 private acres of woods, water and history. Wander the trails. Sit by the pond. Put on a record. Play billiards. Find a hammock. Have another cup of coffee.
Breakfast is in the 1895 House.
If your stay includes breakfast, it is served from 8:00–10:00 AM in the 1895 House, the first house you see when you arrive.
Whether your room is in the 1895 House or the 1936 House, breakfast is for everyone. Come over whenever you’re ready. No reservations and no need to rush the morning.
We make breakfast from scratch each morning. If you have an allergy or dietary need we may not know about, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can do our best to accommodate you.
Two houses. One inn.
Your room may be in one of our two historic houses, and many of the shared spaces around Pine Brook Manor are here for you to enjoy. From time to time, a house or another area of the property may be reserved for private use. If anything is private during your stay, we’ll let you know at check-in. Otherwise, please make yourself at home and enjoy the grounds.
The 1895 House
The first house on the property is also the social heart of the inn.
A cozy room with a bar, intimate sitting areas and a sofa lounge. Pour yourself a drink, find a corner for conversation or settle in for the evening.
Browse the records and put something on, grab a book, pull out a game or sink into one of the chairs and do absolutely nothing for a while. Our guest coffee + tea station is here and available throughout the day.
Grab your coffee and settle into one of the rocking chairs in front of the house. It’s a particularly good place to start or end the day.
The 1936 House
The 1936 House has its own shared guest spaces and a quieter residential feel. If any part of the house is reserved privately during your stay, we’ll let you know at check-in.
110 acres are yours to wander.
Beyond the inn houses, you’ll find the Mill Pond, historic Mill House and waterwheel, bridge, creek, Pine Grove, wooded trails and quiet places tucked throughout the property. Some areas may occasionally be reserved for a private event.
By the Water
Settle into an Adirondack chair by the pond, or cross to the other side to find hammocks and benches tucked into the landscape. Canoes and kayaks are available seasonally. The Mill Pond is not for swimming.
The Mill House
Yes, you can go inside. The guest door is unlocked. Play billiards, hang out, use the guest restrooms and, on a beautiful day, open the barn doors and secure them with the exterior catches.
Wander the Woods
Cross the bridge, make a left and follow the trail into the woods or toward the Pine Grove.
Across the Bridge
Cross beside the Mill House, make a left and follow the trail deeper into the woods.
The Pine Grove
Tucked beneath the trees beyond the bridge, the Pine Grove is one of the quietest places on the estate. When it isn’t reserved for a private event, you’re welcome to wander in, take a seat and stay awhile.
You’re sharing the Manor with a few locals.
Depending on the season, time of day and a little luck, you may spot wildlife throughout the woods, lawns and water. Please enjoy every wild visitor from a distance and never approach or feed an animal.
