First developed in 1895, Pine Brook Manor has lived many lives and those lives are reflected in the broad range of spaces across our grounds. Our Inn hosts Guests across two historic homes, the Heritage Hall host events large and small, and our Mill Pond, Mill House, and Water Wheel remind us of the historic mill onsite. Whether you’re here for a wedding, a retreat, or a quiet stay, the grounds of Pine Brook Manor offer a rare balance of privacy, wonder, and connection to nature across 110 private acres.

The 1895 House

Our original Victorian boarding house, once known as the Pine Park Cottage, is the heart of Pine Brook Manor. Set beneath a grove of white pines, this three-story structure features historic woodwork, fish-scale shingles, and original stonework. Lovingly restored and updated, Guests will find cozy common rooms, a wide wraparound porch, and bedrooms that echo the elegance of a bygone era.

The 1936 Bungalow

Built by the Dunwald family during their expansion years, this charming Arts-and-Crafts-style bungalow offers warm interiors, handcrafted woodwork, and serene porch views. It’s a favorite for quiet mornings, intimate gatherings, and weekend guests who crave privacy with charm.

Heritage Hall

Constructed from reclaimed lumber salvaged from the estate’s original barn, our modern event space blends rustic authenticity with year-round comfort. Exposed beams, a stone fireplace, and sweeping views of the forest and pond make it ideal for weddings, receptions, and celebrations of all kinds. Both floors are ADA-compliant to ensure every guest can enjoy the festivities.

The Mill Pond

Fed by the Bush Kill stream and framed by hand-laid stone, the mill pond is ideal for reflection, photos, and water-side picnics. A historic weir creates gentle water flow year-round, and onsite canoes invite exploration. The pond supports an untouched wild-stocked trout population for onsite fishing.

The Mill House & Bridge

Located next to the pond, the historic mill house stands as a monument to the property’s industrious past. The manmade weir and waterfall once fed a small lumber mill. Today it serves as a scenic backdrop with added amenities like a restroom and staging area for outdoor events, as well as an outdoor trellis and event area.

The Forest Chapel

Hidden over the bridge along a woodland trail, the Forest Chapel offers a secluded, open-air ceremony site a short walk from the main grounds with the peaceful babbling waterfall. It is one of the most intimate and unforgettable spots on the estate.

The Trails

Miles of wooded trails wind throughout the 110-acre estate. From casual strolls to guided nature walks, the paths offer changing seasonal views, wildlife sightings, and peaceful escape into the pine-scented wilderness. For more adventurous guests, the grounds neighbor conserved state forestland that offers a connection to the Rio Reservoir and the Delaware River.
