Hosted Friends & Family

For people visiting because they love us and need a softer cost for their stay. We're glad to make room when we can, with a structure that stays manageable while we raise a baby and maintain the property ourselves.

  • Heavily discounted nightly rate (typically 50–60% off)

  • Access to available dates on the calendar

  • Option to pay the cleaning fee or complete a simple self-reset

  • Same booking system and automated communication as all guests

If you’d prefer not to pay the cleaning fee, we ask that you complete a light reset before you leave:

  • Strip the bed and start all laundry

  • Run the dishwasher and leave dishes clean

  • Wipe down bathroom and bedroom surfaces

  • Remove trash and recycling to the designated area

  • Leave the room tidy and guest-ready

This helps us keep the property in good shape without adding many hours of extra work behind the scenes.

Lending a Hand

Some of you have offered to come lend a hand on specific projects around the estate. If you’re visiting primarily to help with something concrete, let us know in advance.

We can provide a custom discount code or arrangement for that stay.

How to Book Your Stay

All friends-and-family stays are booked through our private booking portal. This keeps the calendar accurate, sends automated check-in details, and keeps everything documented properly for operations, insurance, and taxes.

  2. Reach out to us if you need your discount code

  3. Use the private booking link we share with you

  4. Enter your code at checkout to apply your discounted rate

  5. Confirm your reservation and watch for your confirmation and arrival details by email

When You Can Visit

Pine Brook Manor hosts weddings, retreats, and events throughout the year, so availability shifts season by season. As a general guide:

  • High-demand weekends: Friends-and-family discounts may be limited or unavailable

  • Weekdays and shoulder seasons: Often the easiest times to visit

  • Blackout dates: Major holidays, full-estate wedding weekends, and certain retreat weeks

The booking portal will always show current availability. If your dates are flexible, feel free to ask which windows are easiest for us to host you.

House Rules for Everyone

To keep the estate comfortable and safe for all guests, we ask that everyone follow the same core guidelines—no matter the discount.

  • Respect quiet hours and any scheduled events on the property

  • No unregistered overnight guests

  • Honor check-in and check-out times unless we confirm otherwise

  • Let us know if anything breaks, leaks, or needs attention

  • Treat the rooms, common areas, and grounds with care

  • Remember that this is both a working property and our home, and we may not always be available to hang out or host throughout your stay
